So, like a record-breaking 10 million other people, I upgraded to Firefox 3 this week, and, I have to say, I have been, so far, fairly underwhelmed with the changes. It does feel somewhat nippier and I’m sure there are lots of improvements under the hood, but there’s really nothing there that made me go “wow, now THAT was worth the upgrade”.
I suspect that the things I will notice most will be the little things, and one of them was highlighted by Martin at gHacks.net here: Making use of the new Firefox 3 Page Info menu
This new little button on the left of the address bar (I will NOT call it the “awesome bar”!) gives you some information about the site you are visiting. Fairly noddy stuff really, but the really good bit is when you click on “More info…”. It gives you a great little set of options for picking apart the page, and even allows for dead easy saving of all the media (pics etc) used on the page.
A very nice feature, and one for the “worth the upgrade” tick list.
