Frozen Asparagus anyone? Delivery might take a while…

After their success at finding ice on Mars, NASA are now cock-a-hoop about the samples of earth they have analysed (can you get earth on Mars? Perhaps they analysed some mars on Mars….?). It seems that the soil (that’s the best word) is actually rather nice and quite conducive to growing asparagus! They may be problems trying to make it grow however, such as the -25Âșc temperature. I’m sure they could work on that though.

I’m betting the first guys to build a manned base on Mars will be straight out there planting their asparagus plants in the greenhouse and telling jokes about what it does to your wee…

Is there life on Mars? I dunno, but there is (Vanilla) Ice

The Phoenix probe just twittered that it had found ice on Mars. Yep, proper water ice. You know, the stuff that’s kind of important for life…

I don’t know about you, but I think this is pretty exciting.
