After their success at finding ice on Mars, NASA are now cock-a-hoop about the samples of earth they have analysed (can you get earth on Mars? Perhaps they analysed some mars on Mars….?). It seems that the soil (that’s the best word) is actually rather nice and quite conducive to growing asparagus! They may be problems trying to make it grow however, such as the -25ºc temperature. I’m sure they could work on that though.
I’m betting the first guys to build a manned base on Mars will be straight out there planting their asparagus plants in the greenhouse and telling jokes about what it does to your wee…
